As some of you might be aware, earlier this year I was a resident artist at Fraser Studios in Chippendale where I developed a project based on ears. Approximately 170 people came and modeled their ears for my study and it has developed into an interesting exploration of individuality and role of the senses in shaping our lives.
This coming Sunday this work will be on display at Fraser Studios for Fraser’s open day and as part of a larger Sydney Open day which has been put together by the Historic Houses Trust. The exhibition will be open from 9:30am – 6pm on Sunday November 7. This part of the event is free and all are welcome. There will be approximately 30 artists exhibiting at Fraser Studios which is located at 10-14 Kensington St Chippendale, 2008.
If you would like to participate in other activities of these events tickets start at about $40 for guided tours all over some of Sydney’s most important heritage locations. Tickets can be purchased from www.hht.net.au/sydopen and collected from the Sydney Mint. If you want to just come along to the exhibition it’s FREE!
I’ll be there in pockets throughout the day if you want to come and say hi. Other attractions are the open day of the current group of residents working away upstairs in their studios.
